"Vinprom Alvina" Dobrich, one of the most famous wine producers in the country is founded as early as 1947 as a branch of the then economic plant "Spirten Monopol" city of Sofia.
      Its facilities comprise several nationalized private plants in the region, producing wines and alcohol drinks. Thus, the old 'Great masters' traditions and recipes have survived and even nowadays they are used for the production of a wide variety of wines, brandies and other alcohol drinks.
      In 1952 the branch is renamed as " Vinprom " State Enterprise.
     Up to the end of the 50's ( incl. 1960 ) the list of the produced drinks counted in beer as well but afterwards its production moved in a separate workshop.
     In 1964 a wine-cellar and work shops for alcohol drinks and brandy were put into use.
     In 1973 is launched the then revolutionary bottling of thermo-stabilized wines.
     Thus, covering an area of some 30 decaries with location the industrial zone of the town of Dobrich spreads one modern plant for production, bottling and trade with wines, brandies and alcohol drinks, a plant with long-lasting traditions have survived the test of time in the wine business.
     The present owners of " Vinporm Alvina " Ltd. aspire to continue and keep the traditions while using the newest achievements in the field, aiming to reach a quality worthy of veneration on the part of all connoisseurs, a quality deserving to be among the best.
     " Vinprom Alvina " ( respectively Vinprom Dobrich ) is a traditional participant in international and national wine and alcohol drinks exhibitions, where it has been awarded many times with prestige medals and awards. In 1979 it was awarded with an honorary diploma as one of the best wine producers in the country, which contributed for the development of the vine growing and wine production in the country. At the international competition for wines and cognacs in Sunny Beach in 1980 two of the most popular brands of " Vinprom Alvina ", Dobrich were awarded with silver medals, namely Tamyanka wine and Riesling wine.
